How can we
help you?

Answers to common questions about Trailcast — the workout export and analysis app for Apple Health.

Trailcast needs access to Apple Health to read your workouts. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Trailcast and enable all categories (especially "Workouts" and "Route"). Then restart the app.
GPS routes are only available if the workout was originally recorded with GPS enabled (e.g. using Apple Watch, iPhone, or a compatible app). Indoor workouts or sessions without GPS signal have no route data.
Make sure "Heart Rate" is also enabled in Settings → Health → Trailcast. Heart rate data is only shown for workouts where it was actually recorded — e.g. with Apple Watch or a chest strap.
The free plan includes 5 exports per month (GPX, CSV, or TCX) and 3 share cards. With Trailcast Pro, all exports and share cards are unlimited.
Make sure the file is a valid .gpx file with GPS coordinates. Files from Strava, Komoot, Garmin, and Wahoo are all supported. Trailcast imports GPX files for preview only — they are not saved as new workouts in Apple Health.
GPX: Strava, Komoot, Garmin Connect, AllTrails, Wahoo, Google Maps
TCX: Garmin Connect, TrainingPeaks, Zwift
CSV: Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, custom analysis tools
Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Trailcast Pro → Cancel Subscription. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation is not possible within the Trailcast app — this is Apple's policy for all App Store apps.
Tap "Restore Purchases" in Trailcast settings. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. A subscription automatically covers all devices using the same Apple ID.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the relevant purchase. We have no influence over refund decisions — these are entirely at Apple's discretion.
Weather data requires an active internet connection and GPS data in the workout. Make sure location access for Trailcast is set to "While Using the App": Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Trailcast.
The Ride Score (0–100) rates how ideal weather conditions are for your next training session. It factors in temperature, wind speed, precipitation probability, and humidity. A score of 70 or above means conditions are optimal.
No. Trailcast processes all data exclusively on your device. There are no Trailcast servers, no user accounts, and no external data storage. Your health data never leaves your iPhone.
Trailcast contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no user tracking. The only external connection is WeatherKit (Apple) for weather data.
