What data does Trailcast process?

Trailcast only reads data that you explicitly authorize through Apple Health. The following HealthKit categories are accessed:

• Workouts (type, date, duration, distance, calories)
• GPS route data (HKWorkoutRoute)
• Heart rate samples
• Active energy / calories burned
• Steps and distance

Location (for weather): To display weather data, your current location is sent to WeatherKit (Apple). This location is not stored or logged by Trailcast.

Purpose of data processing

All health data is used exclusively for the following functions:

• Displaying and analyzing your workouts within the app
• Exporting to GPX, CSV, and TCX files on your device
• Calculating Effort Score, Pace Zones, and statistics
• Creating share cards for social media (optional)

Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, sale, or any other commercial purpose.

Where is data stored?

Trailcast operates no servers of its own. All data is processed and stored exclusively on your iPhone. No data is transferred to external services — with one exception:

WeatherKit (Apple): For weather data, an anonymized location request is sent to Apple's WeatherKit service. These requests contain no personally identifiable information. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy

HealthKit — special data protections

In accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines, health data is subject to special protections:

• HealthKit data is never shared with third parties
• HealthKit data is never used for advertising
• HealthKit data is never sold or licensed outside the app
• Access is read-only — Trailcast does not write data to Apple Health

You can modify or revoke data access at any time under Settings → Health → Trailcast.

In-App Purchases & Payments

Trailcast Pro subscriptions are handled entirely through Apple's App Store system. Trailcast has no access to payment data. All payment information is processed solely by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy.

Your rights

Since Trailcast does not store personal data on its own servers, traditional requests such as access, correction, or deletion largely do not apply. You retain the following rights:

• Revoke data access: At any time via Settings → Health → Trailcast
• Uninstall the app: All locally stored app data will be deleted
• Cancel subscription: At any time via App Store settings

Children

Trailcast is not designed for children under the age of 13. The app is intended exclusively for users aged 13 and older.

If we make significant changes to this policy, the date at the top of this page will be updated. We recommend checking this page occasionally.
